Lately we've been working hard to order all of the items we'll need for our school. We've purchased unifix cubes, sentence strips, and all sorts of other materials you'll get to use when you come to school in August. One important part of this job is staying organized.
Mrs. Smith, our school's administrative assistant, is very organized. She has colorful folders neatly placed on her desk. She can quickly find whatever we are looking for. Ordering for the school is a process with many steps, and Mrs. Smith always knows which step we need to do next.
I like to organize by making a list. There is a white board on the wall behind my desk. When I think of something we need to order, I write it down immediately. Then, after we order the item I erase it from the white board.
Being organized is an important part of being a good student, too. How do you like to organize? You might keep things neatly in folders, like Mrs. Smith, or you might make lists, like me. There are many ways to organize. Elementary school is a great time to learn how you like to organize so that you can be ready for success for years to come!
I hope you all enjoyed your final week of school and have had a fun start to summer!
Your principal,
Mrs. Hickman
